System requirements

Triplo AI is a desktop app, not a browser tab, so it has an oldest supported version of each operating system. Below it, the installer will not run.

PlatformOldest supportedProcessor
macOSmacOS 11 Big SurApple silicon and Intel, each with its own native build. No Rosetta.
WindowsWindows 10, 64-bitIntel and AMD 64-bit. Windows on ARM runs the same build under emulation.
LinuxUbuntu 18.04, Debian 10, Fedora 32 and their equivalentsIntel and AMD 64-bit.

Everything is 64-bit. There is no 32-bit build on any platform, and no native Windows-on-ARM installer. macOS 10.15 Catalina and older, and Windows 8.1 and older, are not supported and will not be.

Disk
Around 300 MB for the app, plus whatever your knowledge base grows to and any local models you install.
Network
Needed for hosted models and for licence validation at startup. A local model answers with no connection at all.
Graphics card
Not needed. Knowledge base search runs on the CPU.
Admin rights
Not needed on macOS or Linux. On Windows you can install just for yourself or for the whole machine.
Linux desktops
Both X11 and Wayland work. On Wayland, install your distribution's wl-clipboard package so Triplo can read text you have highlighted in another app — Triplo tells you if it is missing. On Hyprland (Omarchy included), see the community Hyprland launcher.

Hyprland launcher (unofficial)

On Hyprland, including Omarchy, three things get in the way of the palette: it disappears as soon as you move the mouse, the hotkey does nothing, and paste-back fails. A community launcher runs beside the official AppImage and fixes all three. It does not modify Triplo AI or your system configuration.

Not an official build, and not supported. Use it at your own discretion. Triplo AI support cannot help with problems caused by the launcher.

1
Download both AppImages

The official Linux build from the top of this page, and the launcher from share.triplo.ai. Put them in the same folder and keep the official file name (Triplo-AI-<version>.AppImage): that is how the launcher finds it.

2
Install the dependencies

fuse2, wtype and wl-clipboard. On Omarchy and other Arch-based systems: sudo pacman -S fuse2 wtype wl-clipboard

3
Check and install

From that folder:

chmod +x Triplo-AI-WayLauncher.Appimage ./Triplo-AI-WayLauncher.Appimage doctor # what is ready, what is missing ./Triplo-AI-WayLauncher.Appimage install # start at login, add a menu entry ./Triplo-AI-WayLauncher.Appimage run # start it now

install also switches off Triplo's own autostart, so Triplo always starts through the launcher.

4
Use it

Press Ctrl + Space, or the hotkey you set inside Triplo, to show the palette. The same hotkey or Esc hides it, and Triplo stays in the tray.

Something is off
Run doctor first. If Triplo was already open before the launcher started, or the cursor does not land in the prompt field, run restart.
What it changes
While running, it turns on Triplo's pinned setting so the palette is not closed when it loses focus. Your original value is restored when the launcher stops. Run with --no-pin to leave Triplo's settings alone.
Known limits
The palette stays centred near the top of the screen and cannot be dragged. Its width follows the size preset chosen in Triplo.
Removing it
Run uninstall, then delete the launcher AppImage.

After it installs

1
Run it and activate

Paste the licence key from your purchase email. The trial starts without one.

2
Grant the one permission that matters

On macOS, Accessibility. Without it the hotkey cannot read your selection or paste a result back. The walkthrough covers it.

3
Get a real result in five minutes

Getting Started takes you from a fresh install to text rewritten inside another app.

Triplo AI has no dock or taskbar icon by design. Once running it lives in your menu bar on macOS or your system tray on Windows and Linux.

What you are running

Desktop builds are published on GitHub Releases, under the Elbruz-Technologies/triplo7 repository. The links on this page point straight at those assets, so you can see exactly what you are fetching before you click.

macOS
Signed with an Apple Developer ID and notarised by Apple, with a hardened runtime. Gatekeeper accepts it without a warning.
Windows
The installer is code-signed.
Linux
Distributed as an AppImage. Verify the download against the checksum published with the release.
Updates
Downloaded from the same GitHub Releases feed and signature-checked before installing, so you only do this by hand once.

Older builds stay available on the releases page, and every published version is listed in the Changelog.

Which build do I need?

A Mac bought in 2021 or later
Almost certainly Apple silicon — take the M1, M2, M3, M4 & M5 build. To be sure: Apple menu → About This Mac. A Chip line means Apple silicon; a Processor line naming Intel means the Intel build.
An Intel Mac
Take the Intel build. The Apple silicon build will not run on it.
A Chromebook
ChromeOS runs the Android build. Install it from Google Play like any other app.
Another Linux architecture
The AppImage targets AMD and Intel 64-bit. For anything else, ask on support.

One licence covers every platform here. Install on your desktop and your phone and turn on device sharing to keep prompts, instructions and automations in step.
